Electronic Participation Policy

Our Commitment

The Ministry of Finance and National Economy endeavors to listen to your opinions and suggestions and places great emphasis on maintaining continuous communication with you. The ministry also strives to provide multiple channels of communication to enable users to interact effectively.

Electronic Participation Policy:

The Electronic Participation Policy focuses on the commitment of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy to enhance and provide avenues for electronic participation, as well as to bolster social media channels. Additionally, it aims to achieve qualitative progress in the utilization of electronic participation tools.

This policy reaffirms the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to economic development and improving the quality of life for Bahraini citizens. The primary purpose of this policy is to encourage user participation and stimulate the shaping of decisions through electronic proposals and opinions.

Electronic participation channels have been established to enable effective and transparent engagement, allowing the public the opportunity to contribute constructive feedback, comments, and suggestions regarding the ministry's tasks. This public engagement is subsequently utilized as a cornerstone for any decision-making process and policy planning in the future. The public can propose topics for inclusion in electronic consultations through the National Suggestions & Complaints System (Tawasul) or the Tawasul application.

All feedback received from users is regularly analyzed, and development plans are prepared accordingly.

Year Source Action Impact
2025 Email A suggestion was received from one of the Ministry website visitors to add a dedicated page for registered suppliers with the Ministry of Finance and National Economy. The proposed page would allow them to check the requirements for government invoice payments and update their information as individuals or companies. This proposal helps improve the supplier experience by providing clear details on requirements and procedures, reducing inquiries received by the Ministry. It also supports digital transformation efforts, simplifies procedures, and enhances user satisfaction.
2025 Contact Us Page A calendar was added for the electronic training courses organized by the Ministry, enabling government employees dealing with the Ministry to view available sessions, their dates, and register via the website. The training calendar page increased awareness among employees regarding financial training courses, improved access to course details and registration, and encouraged active participation from Ministry staff and relevant employees from other government entities.

Public Participation via the eShabab App:

The Ministry of Finance and National Economy invites you to participate in the challenges published through the "eShabab – Al Mustashar" application. The app was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, during the closing session of the Youth Summit 2020. The app presents real challenges faced by various government sectors in Bahrain and allows youth to contribute their innovative ideas and solutions based on their experiences and vision.

Challenges are announced regularly through the app. Users can submit their ideas and play a role in enhancing public policies and government services as part of Bahrain’s digital transformation and community engagement strategy.
