The Government Program (2023-2026) was prepared based on the mandate issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and inspired by the principles and foundations of the National Action Charter, the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
The government work methodology is based on consolidating the principles of sustainability, competitiveness, and justice, to implement all development programs according to the highest standards, enhance the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position in leadership and innovation, and continue working in the spirit of one team (Team Bahrain) under the slogan (Love of Challenge and Love of Achievement), through constructive cooperation. between the executive and legislative authorities, and by continuing to strengthen partnership with the private sector.
The government plan (2023-2026) focuses on achieving four priorities:
1. Raising the standard of living of citizens in a way that preserves their gains.
2. Justice, security and stability.
3. Economic recovery and sustainable development.
4. Quality and competitive government service.
The program also included six sectors:
• The focus of raising the standard of living.
• The sovereign and legislative.
• Infrastructure and environment.
• The focus of economic recovery and financial sustainability.
• Community services hub.
• The focus of government performance and digital transformation.
General goals:
1. Creating more qualitative opportunities for citizens in various fields.
2. Consolidating community security to support development and prosperity efforts.
3. Developing financial and economic support programs to increase the efficiency of directing support to those who deserve it, in a way that meets citizens’ basic needs and provides them with their full right to a decent life in a way that preserves citizens’ gains.
4. Supporting comprehensive development endeavors by transitioning to an economy based on high value-added activities.
5. Continue to strive to achieve the goals of the fiscal balance program until the end of 2024, while adopting policies that aim to raise citizens’ incomes in a way that preserves their gains.
6. Building on the rules of partnership with the private sector and strengthening them in a way that contributes to achieving comprehensive development dimensions to ensure the creation of promising opportunities for citizens.
7. Preserving natural resources and wealth, working to develop and invest them properly, and supporting international efforts to confront climate change.
8. Continue working to develop the performance, quality of government service and its sustainability for citizens.
9. Promoting the progress of Bahraini women and their contributions to public life and the national economy.
10. Providing the youth and sports sector with the capabilities that enable it to increase its participation in development and achievement.
