 Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Rt Hon Alderman Alastair King, Lord Mayor of the City of London, in the presence of Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB).

The meeting took place during his participation in the third Gulf Gateway Forum, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.    

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the longstanding relations and solid strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in finance and the economy. He noted the growing cooperation between both countries, which supports joint coordination and helps achieve shared goals.

He also emphasised the mutual commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and further developing partnership areas, given the countries’ combined expertise, attractive investment environment, and strong foundations supporting the financial and banking sectors.

The meeting discussed several topics of mutual interest and explored available investment opportunities for the public and private sectors in both countries.
